International Service
BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE WORLD
The Danville San Ramon Rotary plays an active role in building communities both locally and globally through its international service donations and grants. The club engages in a wide range of humanitarian, intercultural, and educational initiatives aimed at improving the human condition. Its humanitarian grants help fund projects that deliver medical supplies and healthcare, clean water, food, education, youth development, and job training—particularly in underserved regions of the world.
From 2005 to the present, the Danville San Ramon Rotary, in partnership with Rotary Clubs in Monterrey, Mexico, and Rotary International, has funded 15 international matching grants totaling over $1,000,000.
From 2010 to Present, Danville San Ramon Rotary has partnered with a local non-profit, Asante Africa Foundation, to provide water well, upgrade classrooms, add enclosed outhouses, and electricity with solar panels in villages in Kenya. We have also been actively support students through scholarships in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania to empower them in their education.
In addition, Danville San Ramon Rotary has been actively involved in WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) projects through India and South America.
