The Danville San Ramon Rotary is actively involved in both hands-on volunteering and fundraising events to support the schools of the San Ramon Valley and numerous local organizations. Their recent projects reflect a strong commitment to community service, including packaging an average of 25,000 meals annually in partnership with Rise Against Hunger and painting USA maps on local elementary school playgrounds. They have also contributed to developing and improving accessibility at Sunflower Hill Garden and enhancing classrooms and technology at Ability Now. Additional efforts include donating time and funds to the Contra Costa County Food Bank, supporting seniors through the Rotary Home Team’s “fix-it” projects, providing dictionaries to third graders, and spreading holiday cheer by caroling at the Veteran’s Hospital in Livermore.
